Excellent Podcasts

I did a brief podcast sharing talk at Future Camp at burning man, where I detailed some of my favorite podcasts, and then asked others to share, because there is a significant "finding cost" in locating excellent podcasts. I was asked to provide my podcast list with links, so here it is:

Escape Pod, a sci-fi short story podcast.

C-realm podcast, c stands for consciousness. "Discussions on topics focused on the coming Vingean Singularity, Entheogenic Exploration, the re-localization of community & agriculture, and Individual Conscious Autonomy."

KunstlerCast, featuring James Howard Kunstler, a weekly audio program about the tragic comedy of suburban sprawl.

The Moth, live storytelling performances.

Robots Podcast, "Robots is the podcast for news and views on robotics. In addition to insights from high-profile professionals, Robots will take you for a ride through the world's research labs, robotics companies and their latest innovations."

Radio Ecoshock, Latest science, authors, issues - from climate change, oceans, forests, pollution, and peace.

IT Conversations, an aggregator for lots of different IT stuff, like Biotech nation and talks at lots of different conferences.

KQED Forum, a 1 hour call-in radio show on a wide variety of subjects, esp. as they relate to the SF Bay Area.

Quirks and Quarks, a Canadian science, technology and medicine news show.

Commonwealth Club, podcast versions of their star-studded speakers.

Long Now Seminars, interesting talks about the future.

Other people also recommended these (but I haven't had time to check them out yet):

EconTalk, economics podcasts for daily life.

Fast Forward Radio, live to see it. (how did I not know about this one?!?)

The Skeptics Guide to the Universe, your escape to reality.

Venture Voice, entertaining entrepreneurship.

iInnovate, a podcast by students of Stanford University's Business and Design Schools.
